An Unexpected Abundance of Illustration carries the stories of Slovenia beyond its linguistic boundaries through a universal visual poetics.

As part of Slovenia’s Guest of Honour programme at the Frankfurt Book Fair, and in collaboration with the Slovenian Book Agency, we present the rich world of Slovenian illustration to an international audience. Within an 80-square-metre exhibition space, a selection of works is on display. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue featuring 66 artists, reflecting the creative vitality and diversity of styles in contemporary Slovenian illustration.
