December Illustration Fair

Every December, Vodnik Homestead hosts the Illustration Fair, one of the largest and most central events in the field of illustration in Slovenia. It offers visitors the opportunity to view and purchase works by some of the most prominent local creators – from renowned, established names to outstanding emerging illustrators. The fair takes place live at Vodnik Homestead, as well as online.

Each year, an open call is announced prior to the fair, inviting illustrators to apply. The selection of exhibited and available works is made by a professional jury. Visitors can choose from original artworks and signed prints, both limited and open editions, framed or unframed. Illustrated books by participating artists are also available.

A special part of the fair is “Author Saturday,” when visitors can meet the artists in person, get to know them, talk with them, and gain deeper insight into their work and creative processes.
